Thirty five years after the collapse of the Bretton Woods I system of exchange rates, what have economists learned about what moves them over short to medium term horizons? What are the implications for Bretton Woods II? This talk will begin with a brief synopsis of the literature and then go on to explore the cutting edge of the modern academic debate. |
