| "Understanding the Singapore
Economy" Seminar |
| Aimed
at broadening the understanding and appreciation of Economics,
also, raising the awareness of current economic issues of
topical interest amongst students, the ESS's annual "Understanding
the Singapore Economy" Seminar was held on 2nd Aug at
the Singapore Polytechnic Convention Centre.
Targeted at tertiary level Educators and Students, the 2003
Seminar saw an overwhelming response of 1,200 participants
who attended the half-day event.
Dr Khor Hoe Ee, President of the ESS and Assistant Managing
Director (Economic Research & Financial), MAS, kicked
off the Seminar with a short Introductory
Remark. This was followed
by a presentation on current Economics issues by various Speakers.
Lastly, a Q & A session was opened to the participants.
Participants found the Seminar engaging and many questions
were posed to the Speakers after their respective presentations.
