About the Event
The Fifth Annual Asian Pension Fund Roundtable is to be held from
November 1-2, 2007 at the Four Seasons, Singapore. The roundtable
is being organized by PPI with in-country host the Economic Society
of Singapore, and in coordination with the Monetary Authority of
Singapore and the Government Investment Corporation.
Program Summary
The Fifth Annual Asian Pension Fund Roundtable will reflect on
the strides that have been made in deepening and stabilizing the
region's financial markets, but will also focus on the role of pension
funds in addressing future challenges including the development
of robust equity and bond markets, the socioeconomic impacts of
aging, navigating in different policy environments, and the need
to hone investment strategy.
Pension funds function at a crossroads of these challenges and
are in a position to be leaders in shaping Asia's further development.
This year's program will explore the theme of pension leadership
in a variety of formats. The broader discussions of Asia's capital
markets will be anchored by the keynotes and panel discussions,
while the workshops will provide an opportunity for an in-depth
look at how pensions can address the challenges they face.
