Student Associate Membership
Available to Students in Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges, Pre-University centers and Institutions of higher learning.
 
Benefits:
  • Affordable $20 yearly membership fees
  • 1 year free subscription to the Singapore Economic Review (SER), worth $45
  • Access to ESS events (e.g. Luncheon Discussions) at highly subsidized students' rate. We peg students' rates lower than what we usually charge for Ordinary Members to encourage participation from Student Members.
  • Unique opportunities to gain experience in planning Economics and Policy Making related events. From time to time, ESS enlists the help of students to assist in organizing its major events (e.g. Annual Dinner/ Career Talk for University Students).
  • ESS Student Members enjoys preferential short listing in the recruitment of events helpers.
 
Student Membership Fees:
Annual subscription payable is S$20.00.

Ordinary Membership
Open to all persons with a tertiary education, or with other criteria, professional or academic, which the Council of the Society accepts as equivalent for the purpose of this rule, as well as all institutions that are interested in the objects of the Society.
 
Benefits:
  • Attend and vote at all meetings of the Society and shall be eligible for election or appointment to the Council.
  • Receive 3 issues of The Singapore Economic Review (worth $45).
  • Invitation to attend ESS Events at discounted Members' Rates.
 
Ordinary Membership Fees:
Annual subscription payable is S$40. For overseas members the annual subscription is S$60.

Life Membership
Life Membership is open to all persons eligible for Ordinary Membership.
 
Benefits:
  • Attend and vote at all meetings of the Society and shall be eligible for election or appointment to the Council.
  • Receive 3 issues of The Singapore Economic Review each year (worth $45).
  • Invitation to attend ESS Events at discounted Members' Rates.
 
Life Membership Fees:
The one time payment for life membership is S$500.00. Individuals who have been Ordinary Members for 10 and 15 years can opt to become a Life Member at a cost of S$375.00 and S$250.00, respectively.

Corporate Membership
Open to all Institutions and Corporations interested in supporting the objectives of ESS. There is no voting right for Corporate Members. ESS reserves the right to decline any membership application without disclosing any reason whatsoever.
 

Benefits:

  • One complimentary dinner table at ESS Annual Dinner.
  • Free subscription (three copies) of ESS' Journal, Singapore Economic Review (SER), published thrice annually.
  • Free attendance for one participant and 50% discount for additional participants to all regular ESS Talks/Seminars. (This excludes major events such as FAEA conference and the Singapore Economic Forum series).
 
Corporate Membership Fees:
Annual Membership Fee is S$3,000.
