The Vietnam Economic Association (VEA) has the great honour to host the 33 rd FAEA Conference n Hanoi with the theme on “ ASEAN's Co-operation and Agricultural and Rural Development in the Globalization Era” . The Conference will be held on the 27 th to 28 th of November, 2008 in Tay-Ho Hotel (Westlake Hotel in Hanoi .

Economic Society has nominated three speakers namely: Mr. Tomoki Fujii of Singapore Management University , Dr. Aekapol Chongvilaivan of Institute of Southeast Asian Studies and Professor Yothin Jinjarak of Nanyang Technological University .

A total of three papers were submitted from ESS and will be presented at the conference.

•  Do the World Energy Price Shocks Explain Thailand 's Rice Price Turmoil? (A Co-Integration Analysis).
