Another successful seminar by Economic Society of Singapore (ESS) co-organized with SMU School of Economics on “How Soon Will the Recovery Be” with Mr. Charles Burton (left of photo), Board of Director of Oxford Economics Limited as Speaker and Professor Roberto Mariano (right of photo), ESS, Council Member and Dean of SMU School of Economics & Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics as Chairperson of the event. T he presentation hoped to provide the information and analysis needed to develop the annual strategies and business plans and it deliberated on the most pressing global issues and outlook. The seminar also tackled on: Why should we make of the "green shoots? How much longer does the global recession have to run? Has enough been done to tackle the banking crisis? Is the monetary stimulus working? What are the risks to the global and China outlook?
